What you need to know
Neck and upper back pain is often associated with changes in the work environment, such as the recent move to home offices, poor ergonomics, changes in work/life balance, and physical activity levels. This Health Action Plan offers tools to help mitigate the nagging aches and pains in your upper back and neck.
How the Plan Works
This 30-day program helps you manage and prevent neck and upper back pain through education and exercise.
Employee spouses are not eligible to participate in this Health Action Plan. But, those enrolled in Sandia medical coverage can complete certain activities for up to $50 each year. Go to Join a Health Action Plan to learn more.
Your Checklist
Watch What an Ergonomic Injury Looks and Feels Like.
Complete an ergonomic evaluation.
Attend the three-part Upper Back/Neck Clinic series and complete the pre and post assessments.
- Upper Back and Neck Clinic: Mobility Level 1
- Upper Back and Neck Clinic: Mobility Level 2
- Upper Back and Neck Clinic: Postural Strengthening
Follow up with the physical therapy clinic for a consultation upon HAP completion.
