What you need to know
At Sandia, all employees and contractors must take certain corporate-required training courses, usually on a one-time, annual, biannual, or triannual basis. In addition, employees and contractors in certain positions may be required to complete job-specific training.
Your corporate-required training courses are generally auto-loaded into your individual Training, Education, and Development System (TEDS) notebook.
All Employees
Corporate-required training at Sandia applies to all employees and contractors. In addition, there may be job-specific required training. For more guidance on training at Sandia and what qualifies as a training activity, view the HR Solutions Training Activities article.
Corporate-required training at Sandia focuses on promoting a safe, secure, and healthy working environment for all of our personnel, in addition to facilitating compliance with regulatory training requirements and Sandia policies.
Employees and contractors may be required to complete job-specific training, which is determined by your manager at the local level. You should talk with your manager about what type of job-specific training is right for you.

The leadership training and development opportunities website is available to help guide your career development, with curriculum focused on the skills, knowledge, and abilities you need to succeed at each level of management:
- As an emerging manager or leader
- As a level one manager
- As a senior manager
Contractors
If you are responsible for procuring services from a contractor, you must make sure that they’ve met the Sandia training requirements for contractors.
