Employee Assistance Program Resources for Leaders
Informational Program Orientations are regularly presented to managers and employees at monthly L1 Leadership Training, ERG events, onboarding events, and organization meetings.
Topical Presentations are available for Lab-wide events, ERGs, Departments and Organizations on subjects such as Burnout, Boundaries, Holiday Coping and Transitions.
Grief Groups and team announcements may be scheduled, in-person or virtually, when a team experiences a loss within their work group or organization. EAP clinicians provide manager consultation and educate employees related to common reactions to grief and recommendations for self-care.
Critical Incident Response is provided to a work group or the broader organization should a traumatic event occur in the workplace. EAP clinicians are experienced in providing psychological first aid, diffusing announcements, leadership consultation, in-person or virtual groups, education related to common trauma reactions and self-care, 1:1 sessions with employees, and relevant referrals.
Subject Matter Expertise is sought by teams, boards and committees throughout the lab and Nuclear Security Enterprise in support of employee emotional well-being, mental health, and organizational culture.
Consultation is obtainable related to employee behavior and performance concerns. EAP clinicians also support managers in role-playing difficult conversations and referring distressed employees to EAP services.
Formal referrals may be made to the EAP to support an employee with workplace behavior and performance problems. At the written consent of the employee, the EAP reports compliance with EAP attendance.
