Albuquerque International Folk Dance Foundation
Learn to folk dance with the Albuquerque International Folk Dance Federation (AIFDF)
AIFDF promotes international folk dancing plus education in folk dance and culture. They sponsor weekly dances that includes instruction and community dance participation.
- Ages 8+, all are welcome to join in this family-friendly atmosphere. Learning the dances of other cultures fosters inclusivity and deepens empathy.
- No partners are needed.
- First hour of the evening is learning dances of all levels of difficulty, and the next two hours are community dance.
- Dances include line, circle, and some couple dances such as Bulgarian line, Israeli circle, Russian line, Macedonian line and more.
Dances are held Saturdays at the Lloyd Shaw Center, 5506 Coal Ave SE. Lessons: 7-8pm, Community dance: 8-10 pm.

Duke City Square Dance Club
Learn to square dance with Duke City Square Dance Club. 18-week beginner sessions are held Thursday nights at 7pm, and you must attend the first class to be able to participate in the series.
Singles or couples are welcome. Technology is provided for the hearing impaired.
Cost is $120 for the series. Mention Sandia to get your first class free.
Next session begins August 31 at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center.
